This is my first Goddess print; a mixed media pen ink drawing, hand painted in acrylic and oil and finally hand printed on a screen at the wonderful Print Club in deepest Dalston. I really relished the slow, subtle processes involved in drawing and painting and then learning to hand print it.

Just like the subject of this print, each is an original. Paint and ink have a unique ability to capture beauty and to distil this fashion moment slightly differently each time the ink is pulled over the paper. The moment I tried to capture here is the frisson of excitement when the highstreet meets bespoke vintage – Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Dangerous Liaisons).

It's an homage to a Goddess who can quite effortlessly mix Topshop with a fantastical bespoke vintage headpiece and push her own style to the edge of existence. Her world is layered with luscious texture; the scent of Fracas perfume rolls over a satin and gilt edged chair, red flock wallpaper matches crumbling 40's lipstick, kohl'd eyes look from beneath blonde Elnett curls.
